Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson did his bit for Queen and country this past weekend by flying hundreds of stranded British holidaymakers home from Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt after their travel XL, went bust.
Dickinson, who flies for charter airline Astraeus, told The Mail on Sunday newspaper "I was just doing my job. I was called out like a lot of other pilots to help and I was obviously happy to do that.
"Some of the people on the flight were obviously frustrated by the situation they had found themselves in," he continues. "But everyone was pretty good-natured about it all."
